Pele la Pass

(3420m) is marked by a chorten and an array of prayer flages. On a clear day (which is rare in these parts) these is a view of Jhomolhari (7314m), jichu Drakye (6989m) and kang Bum (6526m) to the west from the road, but there are no mountain views from the pass. A side road leads uphill from the pass to a logging area. Pele La marks the western border of black Mountain National Park and the gateway to central Bhutan.
