Our favorite is the Chele-le Free wheel ride. This freewheel ride can be undertaken both ways:  implying one can drive to Chele-la and freewheel back to Paro or alternatively freewheel to Haa valley from Chela-la. The Chele- La pass ( 3810m) is the  highest motor-able pass in Bhutan. The road meanders through pristine blue pine forest for about 37 kilometers and on a clear day one can witness Bhutan highest mountain Jhomolhari (   7314 meters). The Haa valley is one of the most untouched valley in Bhutan as it was closed to tourist before 2002 due to close proximity with Tibet and Sikkim border. The ride from chelela pass is a free wheel all the way to Wangchulo Dzong in Haa. The Dzong is currently occupied by Indian Military and offers a unique experience.  The local bazaar is a short ride along the Haa river, stop by for a picnic by riverside. Continue Freewheel ride to Lhakang Karpo, prior to driving back to Paro valley.
